Low filtration 2 mm filters

The FiltriNext 2 mm low filtration filters are three-dimensional polyester filters metallised with nickel and treated with a titanium dioxide sol which if used in combination with UVA LEDs with a wavelength of 365 nm or UVC with a wavelength of 260 nm, activate a photocatalysis process capable of killing bacteria and oxidizing contaminating species.

The low filtration 2 mm FiltriNext filters have a long life, thanks to their three-dimensional structure capable of blocking above all solid particulate matter and bacteria, without clogging. They can be easily regenerated by washing (up to 10 times – also in the dishwasher)

Applications

FiltriNext filters may be used:

  • in existing heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems, replacing or supplementing traditional HEPA filters
  • in domestic refrigerators or refrigerated counters in shops and supermarkets to improve safety and food preservation
  • in purifiers for specifically designed indoor environments
  • in wardrobes, shoe racks and other furniture
  • in special car purifiers

Electron microscope analysis and EDS spectra

A scanning electron microscope examination combined with EDS microanalysis, conducted by the Politecnico di Milano, shows the presence of titanium dioxide on the treated filters (the gold peaks are due to the investigation technique)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE FILTER

Triaxial polyester fabric with diversified fiber density in the three X, Y and Z axes, stable up to 160 °C.
The additional nickel metallisation treatment (where present) is applied with a process covered by the European Soliani EMC patent and is stable against oxidation and saline corrosion.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION SURFACE TREATMENT

Semitransparent sol containing crystalline titanium dioxide. Recommended for surface treatment to apply photocatalytic and antibacterial properties to various substrates. Suitable for structural components, finished and semi-finished products. After deposition and consolidation, the functionalized surface is stable in water and in moderately acidic or basic environments.
